Further information
General note | (i) Score format. (ii) I-Bc V39 has handwritten "Cala un Tuono" indicating a canon per tonos with repetitions at a second below. (iii) Dux has two clefs: G2 and C3. Dux reads C3, comes has G2 (even though comes is resolved fully on a separate staff with G2). (iv) Dux line has presa .S. which is unnecessary because comes is resolved. (v). Dux minim rest and minim at opening is changed to semibreve opening in comes. (vi). Based on the number of notes and a comparison with the other voices, the text in the non-canonic voice only should probably read "Semper Laus Deo". |
